If you are familiar with how this works with Hajime, that's how it works with Kai, only Kai is way better at it. Kai can see and influence the souls of inanimate objects and cellphone messages. No, really. Those are things that get inspired in the second game. So, if you are a robot, Kai can influence your robosoul.
As a protagonist, he uses his power for The Good, but maybe you're not comfortable with him doing this.
If you want to give free reign to let Kai inspire your characters on a magical, soul-filled level, say so. If you want to put the kibosh on anything from the get-go, just say so.
